What happens inside an inline PVC-O production line?
Our new animated video shows how Rollepaal’s air-based technology works, making stages normally hidden inside the machinery visible.
We believe this is the first publicly available video to explain the air-based inline PVC-O process through animation. It follows the pipe as it is formed and stretched, showing how extrusion and orientation come together in one continuous production line.
PVC-O, or biaxially oriented polyvinyl chloride, is produced by stretching PVC-U pipe in both axial and radial directions. This orients the polymer molecules, creating high-performance PVC-O pipes with:
-
Up to 5× greater impact resistance
-
Higher tensile strength
-
Up to 63% less material
(Compared with conventional PVC-U pressure pipe)
Whether you are considering PVC-O production or simply want to understand the technology, the video offers a clear, practical introduction.
Watch the video below to see the process in action.
